TEF - French Assessment Test

TEF is designed for an adult non-French-speaking public (over 16 years of age) who wish to assess their real skills in French.

TEF

The French Assessment Test (TEF) is an international reference tool, designed to evaluate the level of knowledge and skills in French for people whose mother tongue is not French. It can be used to attend higher education, to immigrate to a French-speaking country, or for personal purposes.

An authorized examination center

Institut de Touraine is authorized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France to organize TEF examinations.

Methods

TEF consists of two series of tests: three inseparable tests in QCM format (written comprehension, oral comprehension, vocabulary and structure) and two production tests with two independent parts (written expression, oral expression).
