- François Rabelais University: the academic supervising authority
Institut de Touraine operates under the supervision of the François Rabelais institute.
An educational council made up of representatives from both institutions lays down guidelines for the school's educational policies, and more specifically its curricula and teaching methods.
This original system is a guarantee of quality for the school's students and partners.
- Many links between the two institutions
Teachers from Institut de Touraine regularly give lectures at the University to students on FFL (French as a Foreign Language) courses.
Conversely, University professors are often called on to give lessons at the Institute, in particular for lessons preparatory to university admission.
The managements of both institutions meet on a regular basis to explore avenues of cooperation and implement joint projects at both local and international level.
Apart from the University of Tours, Institut de Touraine maintains close relations with its institutional partners:
- Tours city council,
- Tours Plus metropolitan authority,
- The Touraine Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
- Indre et Loire department council,
- the Centre Regional Council.
The continual involvement of local institutions in Institut de Touraine testifies to their strong commitment to our establishment's mission, namely promoting the French language and culture.
Year in year out, our students act as ambassadors for Touraine and the Loire Valley.
